Olympiacos have won the Europa Conference League but striker Stevan Jovetic’s first thought was to compliment his former side Fiorentina for their fight in Athens.
It was a scrappy match in Greece and despite the Serie A side dominating much of the match, the champions did what they know best and absorbed the pressure, hitting on the counter-attack.
Ayoub El Kaabi netted his 16th goal of the season in Europe and it came in the 116th minute, shattering Fiorentina hearts.
But the stadium was mostly full of Olympiacos fans and the noise that erupted from the stadium was deafening during the celebrations.
Jovetic was among them and he took the time to speak with TNT Sports.
He said: “It is amazing … I’m really proud … I think we did great all year.
“I wish them all the best!”

“I want to just compliment Fiorentina … two years in a row.
“Shame for them … an amazing team … I wish them all the best.”
Fiorentina made the final last season but missed out on lifting the trophy on then as well.
West Ham beat the Italian outfit in the 90th minute and they look to have made a habit of conceding late on in the big matches.
Olympiacos became the first Greek side to win a European trophy and the celebrations in their homeland will likely go on well into the night.
