Roberto Firmino has been a mainstay in Liverpool’s attack for many years now, and at one point formed a deadly trident with Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
Mane has since left Liverpool for Bayern Munich, whilst Firmino himself is getting on in years and is falling out of favour at Anfield.
Last season saw the Brazilian share minutes with Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane through the centre of Liverpool’s attack.
And this campaign is also expected to see Firmino struggle for action due to Liverpool breaking their transfer record for Darwin Nunez.
As a result, there has been speculation that Firmino, who only has one year left on his contract, could leave Liverpool this summer.
The South American has been linked with Juventus of late, with the Turin-based outfit no doubt looking to replace Paulo Dybala. However, Fabrizio Romano has reported on Monday that Juventus have not approached Liverpool for Firmino:
“Still, in my opinion, it’s not looking like he’ll be a regular for Liverpool this season, which is a shame because he’s a great talent. I’m sure he can still contribute a lot to Klopp’s team, but if he found a club where he could be a key player he would really get his magic back.
“Leaving Liverpool will be difficult, though. They have sold players already this summer, with Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi leaving. I doubt there is much desire to sell more.”
