The Blaugrana star in question? Frenkie de Jong.
German tactician Tuchel, it is understood, has identified the engine room ranks at the Allianz Arena as being in serious need of fresh blood with a view to next season.
This comes amid ongoing speculation surrounding the plans of Joshua Kimmich, and long-standing suggestions that Ryan Gravenberch could be on the move this summer, amid interest from Liverpool.
According to Sky Sport Germany, a shortlist of targets, in turn, has been drawn up by Bayern’s new headmaster.
And Dutch international De Jong’s name features prominently.
It remains to be seen whether Xavi Hernandez would be willing to green light such a move this time round, though, after De Jong played a pivotal role in Barcelona wrestling back La Liga supremacy from Real Madrid, courtesy of starts in 29 of the Catalans’ 38 league outings this past season.
