A telling update on the future of star Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has come to the fore on Sunday evening.
For those not aware, Kroos’ situation has long proven a headline talking point in Spain’s capital.
This comes with the German’s current terms due to come to an end in the summer, amid long-standing speculation that he has been giving serious consideration to hanging up his boots.
The powers that be at the Bernabeu, though, for their part remained dead-set throughout that they would ultimately convince Kroos to delay his retirement for another year.
Contract negotiations, in turn, have long been underway between the two parties.

And, on Sunday, it would appear that a breakthrough has been found.
A contract, in turn, will soon be presented to the 33-year-old, making his stay through the summer of 2024 official.
