Chelsea headed into the game on a dismal run of form with goals very much lacking.
Tottenham, meanwhile, were looking to gain some ground on Newcastle, who are playing in the League Cup final on Sunday.
And when all was said and done, Tottenham came away with the three points.
Chelsea started the brighter of the two sides, with January signing Enzo Fernandez and Joao Felix linking up well.
However, Tottenham were able to soak up the Blues’ pressure well and hit the away side on the counter several times early on.
Chelsea were then dealt a blow as Thiago Silva was forced with an injury in the opening 20 minutes.
Chelsea then came alive in the final 5 minutes of the first half but once again never really tested Fraser Forster. Hakim Ziyech was then shown a red card for shoving Emerson in the face but VAR overturned the decision and he was instead shown a yellow.
Tottenham opened the scoring 19 seconds into the second half after Olivier Skipp picked up a clearance and smashed an effort past Kepa from range.

The Lilywhites continued to pile pressure on Chelsea after the first goal, with the Blues clearly rattled and unable to create any chances of their own.
Tottenham killed the game off after 81 minutes when Harry Kane stabbed in a second from a corner.

Enzo and Joao Felix linking up well again, would have been some goal. #TOTCHE

What a terrible advert for the Prem this is…..Spurs are so hard to watch. Counter attacking at home. And Chelsea don’t have a striker

1 goal in 77 shots.
Aubameyang is in the bench and probably won’t get a look in.
