Tottenham are considering a sensational swoop for Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun this summer as they look to move on from Harry Kane, according to reports in Italy.
The Lilywhites saw their talisman join Bayern Munich last week in a deal worth over £100m, though his first attempt at winning a trophy ended in defeat as they lost the SuperCup 3-0 to RB Leipzig.
Now, they are seeking a replacement, and are keen to add a player who can compete with Richarlison for a starting spot in Ange Postecoglu’s new-look Spurs side.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, one of the options that they are considering is approaching Arsenal for young star Folarin Balogun, who seems certain to leave the club this summer.

The striker, who missed the latter part of pre-season and the first game of the Premier League campaign with a foot injury, scored 22 goals while on loan in Ligue 1 last season, and is valued at £50m by Arsenal.
He has garnered interest from around Europe, with Inter Milan, AS Monaco and West Ham all thought to have held an interest in the attacker.
Given the massive north London rivalry between the two sides, and the fact that no player has moved directly from one club to the other since William Gallas did so in 2010, it seems a longshot that a deal could be agreed, and it would certainly be one that divided both fanbases.
Balogun, meanwhile, is reportedly in favour of holding out for a move away from the Premier League, which throws any Tottenham transfer into further doubt.
