There was an injury scare for Tottenham in their win over Bournemouth at the weekend as Destiny Udogie came off late on.
However, Ange Postecoglou confirmed that was only precautionary: “I think he just kicked the ground from what I understand,” the Tottenham boss said in his post-match press conference. “Just speaking to him now he’s fine.”
Ryan Sessegnon is sidelined after he underwent surgery on a hamstring injury picked up in pre-season.
“Devastated and not really sure what to say right now,” Sessegnon posted on social media.
“Hopefully this provides a light at the end of the tunnel. I feel very hungry and motivated to return stronger than ever and be back to doing what I do best for you guys.”
No return date has been given for the left-back.
