Tottenham Hotspur are currently going through a rather tricky spell at the moment following their best-ever start to a Premier League campaign.

Spurs have lost back-to-back matches in the league against Manchester United and Newcastle.

After the defeat on Sunday, Antonio Conte called for patience and reaffirmed his desire to add to his squad.

Daniel Levy and the club must now look to back the Italian again during the January transfer window.

Spurs’ January transfer plan: Players in, players out

Tottenham Hotspur are ready to back Antonio Conte in the January transfer window, according to the Evening Standard.

Although the north Londoners face a balancing act, as in order to sign players, they must first move others on.

Gil is likely to be targeted again by Valencia, whilst Tanganga and Sarr have interest from Italy.

But if Spurs can move these players on this time around, they are likely to go big in backing their manager.

New recruits certainly seem needed as although results have been good, performances have been a worry and the last week has been a real concern.

Tottenham quartet miss training

Dejan Kulusevski, Richarlison, Cristian Romero and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg all missed training this morning.

The quartet were also absent from Spurs’ defeat against Newcastle on the weekend.

All four have been key for Tottenham this season so this represents a big blow ahead of their game against Sporting CP.
