According to reports, Tottenham are pushing to close a deal for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.
Fabrizio Romano’s latest update suggests the North London club are in direct contact with the Cherries to finalise a transfer after Solanke gave the green light on a potential move.
The 26-year-old bagged 19 Premier League goals on the South Coast last season, making him the division’s fourth most prolific striker.
Only Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Erling Haaland bagged more than the England international, despite playing for a team that finished in the bottom half of the table.
Solanke has a £65million release clause but Spurs believe they can negotiate a lower fee but with more favourable payment terms for Bournemouth.
The move would provide head coach Ange Postecoglou with a proven goalscorer entering the prime of his career.

Compared to current striker Richarlison, Solanke outdid the Brazilian in the shots, goals, key passes and shots-on-target statistics last term.
And with Tottenham’s No.9 being tipped with a move to Saudi Arabia, it would make sense that the club are lining up a replacement.
Solanke topped the pressing stats for forwards in the Premier League last term and would be a smooth fit for Postecoglou’s system which involves aggressive, attacking football.
