The dismal day being endured by all associated with Tottenham Hotspur has only continued to worsen late on Saturday evening.

Antonio Conte’s troops, of course, marked their post-international break return to action earlier today.

In the latest edition of the North London Derby, Spurs made the trip to the Emirates, in the knowledge that a victory over fierce rivals Arsenal would see them leapfrog Mikel Arteta’s side to the summit of the Premier League table.

When all was said and done, however, the visitors were put to the sword in deserved fashion.

This came as goals on the part of all of Thomas Partey, Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka guided Arsenal to the right side of an eventual 3-1 scoreline, and, in turn, all three points.

Tottenham’s concerns on Saturday were added to on the personnel front, too, upon Emerson Royal being sent for an early bath owing to a straight red card early in the 2nd-half of action.

This comes with word having surfaced online regarding the situation of wide-man Lucas Moura.

Brazilian international Lucas, yet to take to the pitch since mid-August owing to injury, was absent from the Lilywhites’ matchday squad once more at the Emirates this afternoon.

And it has since been revealed by the reliable Alasdair Gold that this came after the former Paris Saint-Germain attacker suffered an ‘injury setback’ in training during the week.

Boss Conte, in turn, is said to be ‘worried’:
