Chelsea are poised to sign Lucy Bronze on a free transfer when her contract with Barcelona expires, according to reports.
The BBC say the Women’s Super League champions are closing in on a two-year deal for the England right-back with an option to extend for a further year.
Bronze, 32, will end her two-year spell with Barca when her deal expires this month and will work under new Chelsea boss Sonia Bompastor after succeeding Emma Hayes this summer.
She won back-to-back Women’s Champions League titles during her time in Catalonia, including as part of a Treble in 2023-24.

The move to Kingsmeadow will see Bronze join up with Blues assistant Camille Abily, who was part of the coaching staff when she played for Lyon.
Formerly of Manchester City, Bronze will make her return to the WSL, which she won in 2016.
A glittering career has also seen her win titles with Lyon and Liverpool, while she was a key player during England’s triumphant Euro 2022 campaign in 2022 and their run to the 2023 World Cup final.
Bronze is the second Barcelona player to move to Chelsea this summer after 20-year-old Spanish midfielder Julia Bartel joined on Wednesday.
