Serie A giants AC Milan have proven themselves to be one of the shrewdest operators across the summer transfer window and are on the cusp of securing yet another target in the vein of standout Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah.
The 20-year-old United States international and former Arsenal academy attendee, who has been in demand this summer after a fantastic showing at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar as one of the standout US performers under Gregg Berhalter, looks primed to depart Spain’s east coast after Milan pushed to include him as part of their massive senior squad overhaul.

Per reports from football insider Fabrizio Romano, Milan is now set to submit an official bid (which appears guaranteed to be accepted) before Musah is to complete his medical next week.
The New York City-born midfielder has spent the last three seasons with Valencia in the wake of officially graduating from the club’s academy set-up after one year on the back of spending seven years in Arsenal’s youth pipeline.
Musah is set to become the eighth signing by Milan this window as manager Stefano Pioli has been supplied with a massive squad overhaul by CEO Giorgio Furlani, new sporting director Antonio D’Ottavio, and chief scout Geoffrey Moncada.
Apart from the pending deal for Musah, Milan has added compatriot Christian Pulisic (Chelsea), Samuel Chukwueze (Villarreal), Tijjani Reijnders (AC Milan), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea), Noah Okafor (RB Salzburg), Marco Sportiello (Atalanta), and Luka Romero (Lazio), doing well to utilize the €64m received in the sale of Sandro Tonali to Newcastle United earlier in the window.
