United States international forward Christian Pulisic is steaming toward the exits at Stamford Bridge this summer as part of Chelsea’s housecleaning surrounding the first team, with Serie A giants AC Milan closing in on a full deal for the wantaway American winger.
The 24-year-old looks set to become the ninth summer departure after Kai Havertz, Mason Mount, Mateo Kovačić, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Édouard Mendy, N’Golo Kanté, and Tiemoué Bakayoko as the Blues continue to trim the fat surrounding their wage bill while receiving £200m in sales.
Pulisic, who arrived in the English capital four years ago as a 20-year-old who broke through at German giants Borussia Dortmund, has failed to live up to expectations surrounding inconsistent minutes under three different managers, has remained open to a move away from the club this summer.
Links with serious interest from Ligue 1 outfit Olympique Lyonnais were wholly rejected by the player, who has his sights set on a move to the San Siro this summer, with Milan now submitted an improved bid in the region of €20m (£17m).

Milan’s recent success in Serie A two seasons ago which saw them claim their 19th Scudetto, while also reaching the finals of the Champions League in 2022-23, has been a deciding factor in his decision to push for a move to the Italian giants according to The Athletic’s James Horncastle.
Pulisic would follow in the wake of Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s recent move to the club, while a move to Milan could also him link up with United States teammates Folarin Balogun and Yunus Musah, both of whom are targeted by I Rossoneri.
