Arsenal have been linked with a move for Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi.
The defensive midfielder has spent his entire career on Real Sociedad’s books and has made 142 appearances for their senior side.
Zubimendi is valued at €40m by transfermarket but as he is under contract until 2027, Real Sociedad will likely be able to demand a higher fee if they wish.
The 24-year-old is a defensive midfielder by trade and would make a solid addition to an Arsenal midfield, which looks set for big changes this summer.
Granit Xhaka seems set to return to the Bundesliga, with both Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich showing interest in the Swiss international.
There has also been some speculation that Thomas Partey could be heading for an Emirates exit.
Despite still plying his trade with Real Sociedad, Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has dubbed Zubimendi a ‘super top’ player.

“Ofc, Kimmich has long contract at Bayern so the only chance would be to negotiate with them. This depends on the club”, told Mundo Deportivo. pic.twitter.com/cRicfAToSi
