Arsenal are reportedly considering Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins as the man to bolster their options up front.
Previous reports claimed that Watkins is now on Arsenal’s radar ahead of the summer, with the Gunners continuing to monitor the 27-year-old, who they’ve also tracked in the past.
No transfer fee was mentioned in that report, but Watkins will likely command a high sum given his current form.
Watkins has scored 14 and assisted six in the Premier League this season, with 11 of those goals coming in his last 14 outings for Aston Villa.
Now though, according to the Daily Mirror, Bayern Munich could consider signing Watkins as an alternative to Tottenham front-man, Harry Kane.
Bayern are currently without a top-quality no.9 following Robert Lewandowski’s transfer to FC Barcelona.
And whilst Watkins will still likely be pretty expensive, he will cost less than Harry Kane.
