The player being looked at is Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
Arsenal will be looking to pick themselves up a bargain with the 28-year-old out of contract next summer and thus likely available for less than he would normally be.
Milinkovic-Savic joined current team Lazio in 2015 from Belgian outfit Genk for €12m.
He has since featured over 300 times for the Italian outfit. In said games, he has scored 69 goals and provided 59 assists, including 11 goals and 8 assists so far this term.
Milinkovic-Savic has also previously been dubbed the best midfielder in the world.
Lazio president Claudio Lotito president told Il Messaggero in November 2022: “Guess how much he’s worth – he scored a goal at the World Cup with his ankle injured, and he’s the best midfielder in the world.”
The report goes on to explain that the player’s agent will re-establish contacts with interested clubs, Arsenal in particular.
