Arsenal have reportedly held talks over the potential transfer of RB Leipzig defender Benjamin Henrichs as a backup target in that area of the pitch.
According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners are admirers of Henrichs as a potential option in that position, with initial discussions taking place after the player impressed Mikel Arteta.

No potential transfer fee is mentioned in the update but Henrichs, who has a contract with RB Leipzig until 2025, is valued at €15m by transfermarket.com, suggesting the Gunners will not have to break the bank to sign him.
Henrichs joined current side Leipzig in 2021 after spending a year on loan with the German outfit from AS Monaco.
He has made a total of 100 appearances for the Bundesliga side, including 30 in the league this past season.
The 26-year-old is a natural right-back but can play in a variety of positions. This suggests Arsenal are looking for some cover for Ben White ahead of the next campaign, but as Henrichs is named as a back-up target, Arsenal seemingly have another player in mind to fill this role as well.
