The player in question is Ajax’s Mohammed Kudus, who has been dubbed ‘one of the most promising players in the world’.
The 22-year-old scored 18 and assisted seven in 42 games across all competitions for Ajax last season.
He is a natural no.10 but can play on the right flank and up front, making him an excellent rotation option.
Kudus’s fine form has seen him linked with two Premier League giants in the form of Arsenal and Chelsea.
The latter seems to hold a more advanced interest, but Fabrizio Romano has provided an insight into the Gunners’ interest over the weekend:
“At the moment there is still no bid or direct conversation with Ajax yet,” he said. “So we can’t speak about the negotiation yet. There is an interest, but I think for Arsenal now, the priority is to get rid of some players.
