The Gunners are seemingly looking to improve their centre-forward spot in the summer transfer window.
Gabriel Jesus is currently Arsenal’s main no.9. The Brazilian has scored 10 and assisted six in 24 league outings this season.
This is by no means a poor return, but if Arsenal are to compete with Manchester City once more next season, they will probably need some more goals up front and neither Jesus nor Eddie Nketiah look likely to be bagging 20 Premier League goals in one season.
One of the players being targeted by the north Londoners is Inter Milan and Argentina striker, Lautaro Martinez.
And now, Football Insider are reporting that £69.5m would be enough for Inter to consider a sale, with Chelsea manager-to-be Mauricio Pochettino also said to be very interested in getting Martinez to Stamford Bridge this summer.
£70m is a fairly high price tag, but as the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen are expected to fetch over £100m, Martinez may be a more cost-effective alternative.
