Arsenal have been linked with a move for Manchester City defender Joao Cancelo in the summer transfer window to help bolster their ranks.
And according to Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Barcelona are also in the race to land the Portuguese star, claiming that Manchester City are willing to sell him on for €40m (£35.75m).
Cancelo’s Manchester City career seemingly came to an abrupt end in January when he was loaned out to Bayern Munich despite the fact City had very little natural cover at left-back for him.
However, City did not need it and have already won the Premier League, with the FA Cup and Champions League just two games away.
Cancelo, meanwhile, would be an excellent fit for Arsenal who, like City, play with an inverted full-back on a regular basis.
The man currently filling this role for Arsenal is a former Man City player, Oleksandr Zinchenko.
