The player in question is Gremio midfielder, Bitello.
101 covered reports last week which claimed Arsenal recently sent representatives to watch the 23-year-old midfielder – who has been an important player for the Brazilian side in recent months – in action when Gremio took to the field against Botafogo.
It was added that the South American’s performances have attracted the attention of a number of European clubs and Gremio could open negotiations if an offer of around €10m is presented.
However, both Bitello and Greimo’s president have spoken out on transfer links surrounding the player and it does not look good for Arsenal.
When asked about the chances of him leaving his summer, Bitello said: “It seems that a proposal has arrived, but I have not yet talked to my manager.
“It looks like it came from Monaco, but I haven’t talked to my manager yet. I have a contract here. “If I had my head out there, I would have fallen out. But I’m happy and my head is at Gremio. We are doing a beautiful championship.”
