Liverpool’s midfield issues are well documented and they are expected to target at least two new faces in the summer to address this issue.
Arsenal, meanwhile, need more quality cover for the starting pair of Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
One of the main midfielders linked with a summer switch this season has been Jude Bellingham.
However, owing to his price-tag, Liverpool have reportedly begun to look elsewhere, whilst Arsenal were unlikely to spend over £100m on a single player anyway.
Now, an alternative to Bellingham is seemingly pushing for a move.
Ryan Gravenberch has struggled for any sort of regular game time since his switch from Ajax to Bayern Munich and has been discussing his future recently.
“Training and playing at the top level for a year is beautiful and instructive. Although (I am) mainly training. That has to change next season. I really want to play weekly again. I haven’t spoken to the club management yet, so just wait and see what happens. But it is clear that this role does not match my expectations.”
Elsewhere, Dutch legend Rafael Van der Vaart feels that the only difference between Gravenberch and the Dortmund man is that Bellingham is playing regularly for his side.
He told Ziggo Sport: “”What I think is the big difference (between the two players); Bellingham is a step lower at a club and always plays. I think Gravenberch is better than him, in every way. Especially physically.”
