Wolves have reportedly made a loan with an option  to buy offer to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

The BBC are reporting that fellow Premier League side Wolves are ready to offer the England international first-team football, having made a loan offer on Monday.

Wolves’ proposal includes an option to make the move permanent next summer.

The 26-year-old enjoyed two impressive seasons in North London after joining from Sheffield United in 2021 but lost his starting place last season following David Raya’s arrival from Brentford.

Spaniard Raya joined the Gunners permanently this summer and looks set to start again in 2024-25, leading to speculation over Ramsdale’s future.

The former Bournemouth stopper has made 89 appearances for the North Londoner since signing three years ago but only 11 of those came last season – including just six in the Premier League.

Ajax were reportedly keen on landing Ramsdale earlier this summer but a loan proposal was rejected by Mikel Arteta and Co.

Despite this, they are said to be lining up Espanyol’s Joan Garcia as a possible new No2, which would help pave the way for Ramsdale to depart.

Portugal international Jose Sa has been Wolves’ undisputed No1 since signing from Olympiacos in 2021.
