A fresh update on the ongoing saga surrounding the future of West Ham United star Declan Rice has been provided on Thursday evening.
And the news will no doubt come as a boost to all of those hopeful of the England international ultimately making his way to north London, to line out for Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal next season.
This comes with the powers that be at The Emirates, according to reports, readying a record-breaking proposal.
As per transfer insider Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, after seeing their opening bid rejected, Arsenal will imminently return with an improved offer for Rice’s signature.
This time round, the deal, including bonuses, is expected to reach the £100 million mark, with a whopping £90 million guaranteed.
Gunners boss Arteta is pushing hard for the move, having dropped his interest in Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo.

An agreement is yet to be reached between the respective boards at the London Stadium and The Emirates, but the transfer is now very much viewed as moving in the right direction.
One stumbling block which will need to be overcome, however, comes in the form of the payment structure.
Whilst West Ham have laid out terms of the bulk of Rice’s fee being paid in just two installments, Arsenal would rather spread the cost over a more prolonged period of time.
