The player being looked at by Arsenal’s scouts is Leicester City and Belgium star, Timothy Castagne.

A report from the Mirror claims that Mikel Arteta wants more quality and depth in the right-back position.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is currently sidelined with a long-term injury and Cedric Soares – currently on loan with Fulham – has fallen down the pecking order in north London and is likely to leave the club permanently in the summer.

No potential transfer fee is mentioned for Castagne, but with Leicester looking likely to be relegated this season, Arsenal could end up with a fairly cheap signing, especially if the Belgian has a relegation release clause in his contract.

Castagne has made 109 appearances for Leicester City since his move from Atalanta. In those games, he has scored five and assisted eight.

Whilst this is not the most productive attacking output for a full-back, he would likely contribute more in Arsenal’s side, with Ben White – a centre-back by trade – turned into an attacking threat since joining Arsenal and being moved to right-back.
