Arsenal starlet Folarin Balogun is set for a critical summer transfer window in north London after his immensely successful 2022-23 loan campaign with French outfit Stade de Reims, but before he embarks on the next chapter of a budding career, the United States international bid farewell to the club – and it’s fans – that has helped propel his name into a new category.
The New York City-born newly-declared United States international bagged 21 goals in his first season as a leading striker in one of Europe’s top five leagues, prompting a number of clubs to lodge interest in the Hale End Academy product after leading the line for Will Still’s Reims outfit who were one of the biggest talking points in France.
Balogun, who is set to return to Arsenal before a summer that could see him sold after he made known his desire to be considered first-choice moving forward took to social media to thank the club and its fans for giving him the platform to push his career to a new level.

“I leave hoping I was able to repay the love, trust, and belief you guys put in me. This will forever be an unforgettable chapter for me and my family. Thank you for everything! Balo.”
Linked with interest from a number of continental outfits the likes of Serie A pair SSC Napoli and AC Milan are thought to be leading the race for his signature.
With Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah on the books at Arsenal, Balogun’s future increasingly looks as though it will be away from the bright lights of the Premier League.
