As per Sacha Tavolieri, the Gunners have started talks with Leicester City for full-back Timothy Castagne.
The Belgian is considered a second-choice option behind Real Valladolid’s Ivan Fresneda.
No potential transfer fee is mentioned in the report, but as Leicester were relegated from the Premier League this past season, it is expected the Foxes will sell the right-back for a reduced fee this summer.
Castagne joined Leicester City from Serie A outfit Atalanta in September of 2020 for around £17.5m.
He enjoyed an impressive debut campaign with the Foxes, which included them beating Chelsea to lift the FA Cup at the end of the 2020/21 season.
The 27-year-old’s form has been mixed this season, but he still scored two and assisted three in the Premier League.
The move would also give Mikel Arteta the option of putting Ben White back in his natural centre-back spot when needed, rather than relying on Rob Holding to cover Gabriel and William Saliba.
