The player in question is Ansu Fati of FC Barcelona.
Fati has been linked with a move away from Barcelona this summer, with it reported last month that the player had been offered to Premier League side Arsenal, as per Spanish outlet Fichajes.
Little information was given about any potential fee or if other players will be involved. But the report did add that the Gunners were yet to respond to the option of signing the Spaniard.
Reports elsewhere, meanwhile, claimed that Fati is actually heading to Wolves in a move that would see Ruben Neves make his way to the Camp Nou.
Now though, the player himself has spoken out on his future in Spain and it is not good news for Arsenal, or any other potential suitors.
On his future, Fati said: “My intention is to stay at Barcelona, keep going there as I’m under contract and I’m very happy.
Fati has notched 107 appearances for Barcelona’s first-team. In said games, he has scored 26 and assisted 10.
