First up, According to Ara, Barcelona are still monitoring Marco Asensio of arch-rivals Real Madrid.

The Spanish forwards is nearing the end of his contract at Madrid, and the Catalan giants want to take advantage of this opportunity. With Asensio failing to make it into Ancelotti’s eleven, the 26-year-old could look for a new club next season.

Next, Spanish publication SPORT has reported that Barcelona needs to shell out €15m for the signature of Benjamin Pavard. The Catalan giants have been hunting for reinforcements in the right-back position, and Pavard looks like the most viable option.

It is added that Diogo Dalot and Thomas Meunier are out of contention.

SPORT also added that Barcelona have called off their pursuit of Argentine defender Juan Foyth. The Catalan giants wanted to sign Foyth last summer but the transfer failed owing to injuries to the defender.

And now the €54.6m price tag has turned out to be a headache for Barca owing to their financial struggle. While Villareal are not prepared to negotiate a price for their World Cup winner.

Both Bellerin and Kessie joined the Catalan giants in the summer window but have failed to make an impression in Spain.
