The man in question is Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Chelsea were linked with a number of goalkeepers earlier this summer but it was claimed that Mauricio Pochettino had decided to stick with Kepa as his no.1.
Links to other keepers died down after this but speculation ramped back up in late July before Chelsea eventually signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton.
Given Sanchez is more than capable of being a Premier League no.1, it was hard to predict who Pochettino would start as his main keeper in 2023/24.
That choice may end up being made for him, though, as according to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich have been chasing a goalkeeper all summer and originally wanted Brentford’s David Raya but they were not willing to pay the Bees’ £40m asking price.
But the German champions are now targeting Kepa and contact has already been made between Bayern and Chelsea over a transfer, according to SPORT1′s Kerry Hau.
