Premier League survivors AFC Bournemouth are off and running under new manager Andoni Iraola when it comes to the summer transfer window after reports confirm the pending signing of Dutch winger Justin Kluivert.
The 24-year-old son of Dutch footballing royalty has found it difficult to plant roots after breaking into the first team Ajax Amsterdam back in 2016, with an upcoming stint in the Premier League finally coming to fruition after years of being linked to a move to England.

Kluivert’s career has been somewhat of a journeyman’s adventure of sorts thus far, with stints in Italy, France, Germany, and Spain taking place at AS Roma, OGC Nice, RB Leipzig, and Valencia in the last five seasons, with the winger struggling to truly make an impact at any port of call.
Iraola, who was recently announced as Bournemouth’s new manager after the club’s shock sacking of Gary O’Neil who did so well to help the club stave off relegation, will at least be afforded some credible attacking options under his command at Vitality Stadium in 2023-24.
Added to the incoming Kluivert, Bournemouth also boasts Dango Ouattara, Hamed Traoré, Jaidon Anthony, and Dominic Solanke.
Despite his struggles to nail down a position at a club that views him as indispensable on the back of his emergence in the Netherlands, Kluivert’s experience across Europe’s top five leagues could go a long way toward helping the Cherries move forward in their project on the south coast.
