Brighton & Hove Albion are readying a free agent swoop for a long-time member of the midfield setup at Premier League rivals Liverpool, according to reports.
The player in question? James Milner.
As per a report from transfer expert David Ornstein, the Seagulls have identified the versatile Milner as a prime summer target, amid ongoing efforts to add further depth and experience to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.
This comes with the former Manchester City man, now 37, set to see his terms at Anfield come to an end upon the season’s close.
Burnley, meanwhile, are also interested in Milner, but Brighton are viewed as clear frontrunners for his signature, ‘determined’ to beat out the competition to land the veteran midfielder.
