Europa League-bound Brighton continues to expertly navigate the transfer market on the south coast this summer and could be in line to push for their sixth signing under Roberto De Zerbi in the vein of Ghanaian international star Mohammed Kudus.
According to The Express’ Charlie Parker-Turner, the Seagulls harbor an interest in the former FC Nordsjælland standout in the midst of Kudus’ desire to move to a Premier League club this summer. Talks with Kudus are supposedly already underway, but contact between Brighton and Ajax is not thought to be advanced.

The 22-year-old versatile midfielder made a name for himself across a fantastic 2022-23 season for both club and country, starring at the 2022 World Cup for the Black Stars while scoring twice during the group stage, as well as also hitting 18 goals across all competitions for de Godenzonen, including 11 in the Eredivisie.
Despite his age, Kudus already has a credible amount of experience at the highest competitive level in Europe that De Zerbi could tap into as Brighton embarks on its first-ever campaign on the continent. Currently valued at €40m (£34m) according to Transfermarkt, it would surely cost the club at least £40m to secure his services should a deal be struck due to the player having two years left on his deal at the Johan Cruyff Arena.
Brighton has already secured free moves for both James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud this summer, as well as splashing a club record ~£30m on Watford center-forward João Pedro while also being set to welcome back wingers Simon Adingra and Abdallah Sima back from loan spells at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Glasgow Rangers respectively.
With plenty of attacking options to choose from, a move for Kudus would appropriately replace Liverpool-bound Alexis Mac Allister, while the free deal for Dahoud should see the German international slot into the expected vacancy to be left by the likely-departing Moisés Caicedo.
