Kompany will no doubt be familiar with Sadiki on account of his managerial stint in Brussels after the youngster plowed through the academy ranks in the Belgian capital before fully breaking into the first team in 2022-23, making a combined 32 appearances in all competitions for Paars-wit.
Sadiki, who has featured internationally as high as the U20′s for De Rode Duivels, would be the third Anderlecht player to find his way to Turf Moor under Kompany’s guidance, with the club securing both Josh Cullen and youngster Enock Agyei last season. Additionally, a total of eight players have arrived from Belgium since Kompany took charge as the club continues to completely revolutionize on and off the pitch under the former Manchester City star and Belgian icon.
Burnley has already been active this window before making a move for Sadiki, securing 23-year-old former German U21 defender Jordan Beyer from Borussia Mönchengladbach, as well as West Brom’s Dara O’Shea, Leyton Orient’s Lawrence Vigouroux, and Irish international Michael Obafemi.
