The club academy graduate will trade London for Milan according to CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs after the Blues are in the midst of finalizing AC Milan’s package for a full move to Lombardy as part of the club’s own plans to retool their senior set-up, with Chelsea in line to receive €20m (£17m).
Loftus-Cheek has reportedly been keen on the move for quite some time since links first surfaced, with opportunities at the San Siro likely coming at an increased rate when compared to Stamford Bridge, especially after Milan sanctioned the sale of Italian international Sandro Tonali.
The move will also provide RCL with a chance to once again find minutes in the Champions League after Milan finished fourth in 2022-23, immediately improving his chances of potentially working his way into Gareth Southgate’s thinking in the run-up to Euro 2024 next summer in Germany.
