Deivid is set to become the second Santos youngster to arrive in West London this summer after the Blues previously secured a deal for U20 international winger Ângelo.
After Chelsea has officially been linked to Ligue 1 outfit RC Strasbourg Alsace as the flagship football club of BlueCo after Todd Boehly, Behdad Eghbali, Mark Walter, and Hansjörg Wyss have put into place the beginnings of their own multi-club ownership profile, plans to loan Deivid to Strasbourg for at least the 2023-24 season are already in place.
Deivid (18) is set to become the fourth summer signing 22 years old or younger after the Blues landed Villarreal’s Nicolas Jackson (22), Stade Rennais’ Lesley Ugochukwu (19), the aforementioned Ângelo (18), and SL Benfica’s Diego Moreira (18).
Additionally, a cadre of Cobham Academy products have all been added into the senior fold in the vein of highly-touted center-back Levi Colwill (20), Lewis Hall (18), and Ian Maatsen (21), as well as Italian youth international star Cesare Casadei (20) who was purchased a year ago.
