Chelsea have, on Saturday, announced the signing of Ishe Samuels-Smith from Premier League rivals Everton.
For those not aware, the name of youngster Samuels-Smith has proven a prominent one in the headlines at Stamford Bridge over the course of recent days.
This comes after word was forthcoming in the media that the Chelsea brass had their sights firmly on the signing of the talented defender.
Negotiations, in turn, developed quickly between the two clubs, after Samuels-Smith agreed to the terms of a three-year contract in west London.
An offer in the region of £4 million, from here, proved enough to entice the powers that be at Everton into a sale, with the 17-year-old’s Chelsea switch having therefore been made official on Saturday evening.
As per a statement across the Blues’ website and social media platforms:
Samuels-Smith, an England youth international, can line out at either left-back or in central defence, and was recently named in the UEFA team of the tournament owing to his exploits at the under-17 European Championships.
