The Brazilian joined Porto from Gremio in June of 2021 for £13.5m and has since become a mainstay in their attack.
All told, Pepe has made 46 appearances for Porto across all competitions, scoring six and assisting seven along the way.
And whilst Pepe is a natural left-sided midfielder, the 25-year-old has proven himself to be very versatile this term.
Pepe has played the majority of his games on the left-flank, but he is also comfortable on the right-wing and even the right-back spot, making him a handy squad player for any potential suitor.
And now, according to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Chelsea are interested in signing Pepe.
A Bola claims that the Porto winger came on to Chelsea’s radar ‘in recent days’, as their scouts were ‘impressed’ with his recent performances.
Any move will not come cheap, though, as Chelsea are aware that Porto will not let Pepe move for less than €70m, which is the price for his release clause.
Pepe is one of three wingers to be linked with Chelsea in recent days. Everton’s Anthony Gordon is understood to be keen on a Chelsea switch, with talks of a £60m move on the cards.
AC Milan’s Rafael Leo is also of interest to the west Londoners, but his price is believed to be around €95m.
