The man in question is 21-year-old Gabri Veiga.
The central midfielder has just finished his first full season as a regular presence in Celta Vigo’s midfield.
During that time he scored an impressive 11 goals and provided four assists in 36 La Liga outings.
Such fine form has seen all of Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle linked.
Now, whilst on international duty, the Spain U21 international was coy about his future when asked about the interest he is attracting in a recent press conference:
“I’m not here to talk about my future, only my present. I want to be in the final [squad] of the Europeans” he said, referring to the upcoming U21 Euros in Romania and Georgia.
“I don’t think about my future, I want to live in the present and the National Team. What I want for my future is to be in the European Championship, because there is still the final list, and then to win it. I am here in the national team, in a very nice challenge.”
