The player in question is Crystal Palace midfielder, Michael Olise.
According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Chelsea have offered around £39m for the midfielder including bonuses.
It is added that the 21-year-old midfielder is attracted to the idea of playing for Chelsea next season and he has already agreed on a deal in principle.
However, Crystal Palace may not be keen to lose Olise, especially in the same summer they saw Wilfried Zaha’s contract expire and him depart for nothing.
Losing Olise would effectively mean Palace have had to part with two-thirds of their best attackers from last season.
The Frenchman is an attacking midfielder but spent much of last campaign operating on the right wing, where he scored two and assisted 11 in 37 Premier League games.
