A key member of the attacking ranks at Crystal Palace has been identified as a summer transfer target by a pair of the Premier League’s heavyweight clubs, according to reports.
The player in question? Michael Olise.
Youngster Olise, of course, is fresh off a stellar 2nd season at Selhurst Park.
After showcasing flashes of his unquestionable brilliance across the 2021/22 campaign, the Frenchman took his creative exploits to another level, en route to a head-turning 11 Premier League assists.
A stunning injury-time free-kick equaliser against Manchester United back in January, meanwhile, aptly highlighted Olise’s set-piece prowess:

And, evidently, such exploits did not go at all unappreciated amongst the giants of English football.
As per a report from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano:
‘Chelsea and Manchester City have both Michael Olise in their list. Understand there’s release clause into his contract — around £35m.’
It is also noted that the powers that be at Stamford Bridge and The Etihad, though, are hesitant to move forward with a move for Olise just yet.
This comes with both awaiting an update on the wellbeing of the gifted winger, after he was forced to withdraw from France’s squad at last month’s U21 European Championships owing to a torn hamstring.

Both clubs are waiting for clarity about his conditions as he picked up injury last month.
