The player in question is Christian Pulisic, who joined Chelsea in January of 2019 from Borussia Dortmund for £57m.
The American returned to BVB on loan for the second half of the 2018/19 campaign before linking up with Chelsea in the summer of 2019.
Pulisic enjoyed a solid debut campaign in the Premier League, scoring nine and assisting six in 25 outings despite suffering an injury in the second half of the season.
His form quickly fell away after what looked to be a bright start with Chelsea, though, as six goals and two assists in 2021/22 was his highest goals total following his first campaign.
This past season, meanwhile, the now 24-year-old scored just one goal and provided one assist in the Premier League.
Now, with the summer window upon us, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea are open to letting Christian Pulisic leave the club this summer and have given the winger the green light to go and look for another club.
