An insight into the plans of the powers that be at Premier League giants Chelsea to reinforce the club’s goalkeeping ranks has been provided late on Friday.
This comes as the Blues prepare to step up efforts to bring in a new no.1 with a view to next season.
It has of course long been rumoured that fresh blood could be on the agenda between the posts at Stamford Bridge this summer.
Owing to an alarming dip in form on the part of Edouard Mendy, and the ongoing inability of Kepa Arrizabalaga to prove himself worthy of the title of Chelsea’s undisputed long-term no.1, Todd Boehly and co. have been left with little choice but to scour the market for alternative options.

And, as alluded to above, on Friday, the identity of one such target has been revealed.
The info comes courtesy of the reliable Matt Law of the Daily Telegraph, who points towards Inter Milan star Andre Onana as being in the sights of the Pensioners.
A £40 million offer, in turn, could soon be tabled, as Chelsea go about testing the resolve of their counterparts at San Siro.
