The player in question is Brighton midfielder, Moises Caicedo.
Reports suggest Brighton will demand a fee of £75 million to green-light a deal for Caicedo.
All of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with a move for the South American in recent months.
However, Arsenal now look to be focused on Kai Havertz and Declan Rice, whilst Man United are proving as inept as ever in the transfer market this summer, which is good news for Chelsea.
Now, on Wednesday morning, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chelsea are set to open talks with Brighton for Moises Caicedo, with negotiations between the two clubs starting within 24/48 hours.
It is added that personal terms will not be an issue and that Chelsea are prepared to ‘attack’ the deal.

However, with Caicedo a similar player to Enzo Fernandez, it will be interesting to see if the west Londoners move for a more defensive-minded option as well in the summer window.
