The man in question is Rasmus Hojlund.
Hojlund joined Atalanta from Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer.
He has impressed during his spell in Serie A, scoring seven goals in 24 league appearances and seven goals in various cup competitions, including three in the Champions League.
He also recently netted five times in Denmark’s first two Euro 2024 qualifiers in March.
A report from Calciomercato suggested that Arsenal were in pole position to sign Hojlund, but this seems like it could be a saga with plenty of twists and turns yet.
According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea seem to have stepped up their efforts to sign Hojlund, inviting Atalanta chairman Antonio Percassi to watch their recent win over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
A steep sum for a player who is yet to prove himself on a consistent basis, but given the likes of Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen are expected to cost over £100m, taking a risk on Hojlund may be what is needed for Arsenal or Chelsea this summer.
