First up, Pete O’Rourke reported that Chelsea are going to closely monitor Portuguese winger Rafael Leao at the World Cup in Qatar. With Portugal missing some senior forwards, Leao could have a standout tournament.
And with AC Milan struggling to extend Leao’s stint at San Siro, a move to Stamford Bridge could be imminent. The journalist said: “I’m sure they’ll be keeping a close eye on him during the World Cup, and if he does really well for Portugal, Chelsea will be very keen to bring him to Stamford Bridge.”
Leao was linked with Chelsea towards the end of the 2022 summer transfer window, but no move came to pass.
Elsewhere, Italian outlet Calciomercato have reported that Chelsea is trying to lure French midfielder Adrien Rabiot to Stamford Bridge. The Juventus midfielder was destined to move to England last summer as Manchester United was chasing his signature before the move failed.
Finally, 90min have reported that Chelsea could be targeting Villareal’s center-back Pau Torres in the upcoming transfer windows.
Manchester United and Tottenham are also chasing Torres, but Chelsea is in a pole position to sign the young defender.
