Two major updates on the transfer efforts of the powers that be at Premier League giants Chelsea have been forthcoming late on Sunday evening.
First up, at long last, comes confirmation of the Blues’ signing of Brighton & Hove Albion standout Moises Caicedo.
On the back of a frankly exhausting week of back and forth, will he won’t he rumours surrounding midfielder Caicedo’s potential arrival at Stamford Bridge, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has tonight given the move the famed ‘here we go’.
‘Moisés Caicedo to Chelsea, here we go! Agreement reached and sealed right now — it’s gonna [be] British record transfer fee.’
The fee in question, it is understood, will come in around the £115 million mark, with Brighton also set to secure a sell-on clause as part of the deal.
Caicedo will put pen to paper on a contract in west London through 2031, featuring the option for a further year:

This comes amid widespread claims that the Pensioners have struck an agreement for a 2nd midfield addition, in Romeo Lavia.
Following another lengthy saga, Southampton starlet Lavia is all set to link up with Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, after Todd Boehly and co, once again, beat their Liverpool counterparts to a deal.
The fee, on this occasion, is expected to come in north of £50 million.
