There is a lot still to be decided in the closing hours of the summer window, with Manchester City set to spend big on Iliman Ndiaye and Enzo Fernandez, while there could still be movement at Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham.

A reminder of the major deals that have been completed on deadline day.
- Manchester City have signed Iliman Ndiaye from Everton and agreed a British-record deal, still to be confirmed, for Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea.
- Newcastle United completed the signing of Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille for £51million. They have also loaned Nick Woltemade to Juventus.
- Aston Villa have brought in both winger Ibrahim Mbaye from PSG and defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Southampton.
- Barcelona completed a deal to sign Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal.
- Tottenham have signed Mykhailo Mudryk (loan) and Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea while also loaning out Pape Matar Sarr to Juve and Kevin Danso to Sunderland. The latter deal features a conditional obligation to buy.
- Chelsea loaned goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to Como.
- Everton have completed a loan deal for Jack Grealish, who returns for a second spell at the club.
- Arsenal have loaned Ethan Nwaneri to Borussia Dortmund.
23:17 – Fernandez posts goodbye message
Though his move to Manchester City has not been officially confirmed, Enzo Fernandez has posted a goodbye message to Chelsea on his Instagram account.
23:12 – Sunderland submit deal sheet for Fofana
Sunderland, having won the tug of war with Crystal Palace over Malick Fofana, have reportedly submitted a deal sheet to complete their deal for the Lyon winger.
Palace, meanwhile, are reported to have deal sheets in for Ben Chilwell, Marseille midfielder Quinten Timber and Midtjylland winger Dario Osorio.
23:07 – Balogun deal back on, Camara deal off
Everton now appear set to complete their deal for Folarin Balogun, which appears to have had a knock-on effect on Chelsea’s hopes of signing Lamine Camara.
Monaco are now reported to have pulled the plug on the Camara transfer, ending Chelsea’s hopes of finding a replacement for Enzo Fernandez.
23:03 – Tottenham confirm Tosin signing
Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Tosin Adarabioyo for a reported fee of £10m plus £2m in add-ons.
23:00 – The transfer window is closed
Teams who successfully lodged a deal sheet have two extra hours to complete transfers.
22:58 – The Bard heads to Leeds
Leeds United have added to their defence, bringing in Melvin Bard on loan from Nice with an option to make the deal permanent.
22:24 – Grealish seals Everton return
While Everton’s efforts sign a striker may be falling apart, they can at least take solace in the return of Jack Grealish.
The Manchester City man spent last season on loan at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, and he is now back for another campaign.
“It feels so good. I’m so happy. I think I’m at my best at everything in life, not just football, when I feel loved,” Grealish told evertontv.
“That’s what the manager has given me, what my teammates have given me and especially what the fans have given me.
“I feel ready to go. I’m ready to start training tomorrow and prepare for the games.”
With reports of a failed medical for Folarin Balogun, Everton were said to have pivoted to a loan move for Joshua Zirkzee, but that has been rejected by Manchester United.
22:18: Fulham sign Larsson
Fulham have boosted their midfield with the signing of Sweden international Hugo Larsson.
Larsson has joined on an initial loan from Eintracht Frankfurt, with the deal featuring a conditional obligation to buy.
The arrival of Larsson follows that of Manuel Angel from Real Madrid.
22:04: Spurs confirm Mudryk loan
Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Spurs have the option to make the deal permanent for £75m.
The Ukrainian winger has not played competitive football since November 2024, having resolved a doping case with the Football Association last month.
21:28: Chelsea agree Camara deal
Big breaking news from Chelsea, who appear to have filled the void left by Enzo Fernandez.
It had been suggested Chelsea might fail to sign a midfielder before the deadline, but Fabrizio Romano has reported they have agreed a deal in principle to sign Lamine Camara from Monaco.
21:20 – Sunderland *finally* win Fofana fight
The Malick Fofana saga cannot be declared definitively over until Sunderland announce his signature.
But it appears they have, finally, won the fight for the winger’s signature.
Fabrizio Romano reports his agents have informed all parties of his wish to join the Black Cats, with Crystal Palace missing out.
21:01 – Man City complete Ndiaye signing
Manchester City have completed the signing of Iliman Ndiaye from Everton on a five-year deal.
“I’ve worked my whole life for an opportunity like this,” he told City’s official website after the completion of a £65m transfer.
“City are one of the best clubs in the world and I’ve seen them win everything as I’ve grown up.
“To be able to write my own chapter in a story that special is the chance of a lifetime and I’m determined to grab it with both hands.
21:00 – Man United make enquiry for Man City’s Ait-Nouri
In clear need of help on the left side of their defence, Manchester United are reported have made an enquiry for Manchester City full-back Rayan Ait-Nouri.
However, United’s arch rivals expect Ait-Nouri to stay.
20:57 – Balogun move to Everton in doubt
Everton are hoping to announce the signing of Monaco striker Folarin Balogun on deadline day after agreeing a £40m fee for the United States international.
But there are multiple reports the deal could be off following Balogun’s medical on Merseyside.
20:15 – Sanchez heads to Como as Chelsea send two players to Strasbourg
Following their signing of Emi Martinez from Aston Villa, Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez has joined Como on a season-long loan.
Chelsea have also shipped out two players to Ligue 1 Strasbourg, who are also owned by the BlueCo consortium that controls the London club.
Forward Deivid Washington has joined Strasbourg on a permanent deal, while midfielder Dario Essugo has made the move on a season-long loan.
20:05 – North London loans
News to bring you of two loan deals involving the Premier League’s North London clubs.
Arsenal have confirmed that forward Ethan Nwaneri has joined Borussia Dortmund on a season-long loan.
While that deal does not involved a purchase obligation, there is such a clause in Kevin Danso’s loan move from Tottenham to Premier League rivals Sunderland.
Danso has completed his move to Wearside in a deal that features a £22.25m obligation dependent on Sunderland retaining their place in the Premier League. The Black Cats have paid Tottenham a £2.5m loan fee for Danso, who will sign a four-year contract if the move becomes permanent.
19:49 – David joins Atletico
Having brought in Woltemade, Juventus have allowed the departure of another striker in the form of Jonathan David.
The Canada international has temporarily swapped Serie A for LaLiga, joining Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan.
David scored eight goals for Juventus last season after joining from Lille.
19:35 – Fofana having medical, but for which team?
The craziest story of transfer deadline day is undoubtedly that of Lyon winger Malick Fofana.
Crystal Palace appeared to have successfully hijacked Sunderland’s deal to sign the Belgian, only for the Black Cats to come back in with an offer that looked to have swayed him to Wearside.
However, there are now reports that Palace have matched the Sunderland package, with L’Equipe claiming the player is undergoing a medical with the Lyon staff, but is unsure for which club he will sign.
Meanwhile, Sunderland are progressing with a move for Benfica’s Dodi Lukebakio, while Palace are set to sign Midtjylland forward Dario Osorio on loan with an obligation to buy. The obligation is for €26m plus €4m in add-ons. The loan fee is reportedly €2m.
19:05 – Liverpool sign Brughmans
Liverpool have added to their goalkeeping ranks with the signing of 18-year-old Lucca Brughmans from Genk.
Brughmans will be loaned back to the Belgian side for the 2026-27 season.
18:55 – Woltemade completes Juventus loan
Juventus have completed the signing of Newcastle United striker on a season-long loan.
Woltemade joined Newcastle last August in a club-record £69million deal, but a red-hot start to his career on Tyneside petered out and, after losing his place in Eddie Howe’s starting XI, he has remained a peripheral figure in a Magpies side unbeaten this season under new manager Matthias Jaissle.
The Magpies will receive a loan fee of £3.5m loan fee. The deal does not include an option to buy.
Woltemade has scored 11 goals and provided five assists in his time at Newcastle, teeing up Yoane Wissa’s goal in their 2-0 win at Tottenham last Saturday.
18:41 – Beto leaves Everton for Fiorentina
Everton have confirmed striker Beto has left to join Serie A side Fiorentina on a permanent deal.
The Toffees paid over £25m for the Guinea-Bissau international in 2023, but Beto struggled for goals throughout his time with the club, scoring only six in the Premier League.
He now returns to Serie A to join a Fiorentina side without a point after the first two games of the season.
17:50 – Sunderland win Fofana tug of war
Widespread reports have claimed Sunderland have won the battle to sign Malick Fofana from Lyon.
Crystal Palace were previously reported to have hijacked the deal, with Fofana supposedly convinced to make the move to Selhurst Park by Pierre Sage.
But Sunderland appear to have successfully revived the deal and are reportedly making preparations for him to have a medical in France.
17:07 – Man City agree British record deal for Enzo Fernandez
Manchester City have reportedly agreed a £125million deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported that the two clubs have come to terms on a fee that matches the British record Liverpool paid to Newcastle United to sign Alexander Isak on deadline day last year.
Fernandez has been given permission to travel to Manchester for a medical.
15:39 – Juventus sign Sarr from Spurs
Tottenham have announced the departure of Pape Matar Sarr to Juventus on loan.
The Serie A side will have an obligation to buy the midfielder if conditions are met.
15:03 – Newcastle sign Fernandez-Pardo
Newcastle have completed the signing of Lille forward Matias Fernandez-Pardo.
The deal is worth £51.4m and he will wear the No.20 shirt.

When does the summer transfer window 2026 close?
The window opened on Monday June 15 and will shut on Tuesday September 1.
After that, every Premier League club can register a squad of up to 25 players, 17 of whom are allowed to be non-Home Grown Players.
A Home Grown Player has been registered with any club affiliated to the English or Welsh Football Association for three entire seasons or 36 months across their career before his 21st birthday, or the end of the season during which they turn 21.
Under-21 players do not count towards the 25-man limit.
What time does the Premier League transfer window shut on transfer deadline day?
The deadline is 23:00 BST in the Premier League, but clubs can have an extra two hours to file the remaining documentation if they submit a deal sheet confirming that an agreement has been reached.
The deal sheet must arrive fully completed before the transfer window closes.
For international transfers, clubs also have to comply with the FIFA Transfer Matching System deadline of midnight.
