Premier League outfit Everton have opened negotiations with not one, but two members of the first-team setup at Leeds United, over potential summer moves to the club.
An outflux of talent, of course, is widely predicted at Elland Road over the weeks and months ahead.
This comes after Leeds’ efforts to stave off relegation from England’s top-flight came up short.
Staring a season in The Championship square in the face, a number of the Whites’ more high-profile stars are therefore expected to seek summer exits from the club.
And one club eager to take advantage of the imminent availability of such players, as alluded to above, comes in the form of Everton.
As per a report from Jacque Talbot of Football Transfers, the powers that be at Goodison Park have set their sights on the additions of both Jack Harrison and Wilfried Gnonto.
Harrison, for his part, is understood to be open to a Merseyside switch, with Everton giving consideration to activating the former Manchester City man’s £16 million release clause.
A ‘push’ has also begun for Gnonto, albeit with a compromise needed over the Italian international’s considerable price-tag.
Elsewhere, Sean Dyche and co. are keeping a close eye on the situation of soon-to-be free agent Ainsley Maitland-Niles, ahead of the imminent expiration of his Arsenal contract, too.
