Chelsea are desperately trying to bolster their midfield options before the new season.

Conor Gallagher looks set to be the latest to head out the door at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have already lost Joringho, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Moisés Caicedo is their number one target, however, Brighton are making a deal very difficult.

Caicedo talks stall

Brighton are demanding Levi Colwill to be included in any deal for Moisés Caicedo, according to the Guardian.

The Seagulls remain intent on signing the defender and have informed the Blues that their chances of signing Caicedo will increase if they compromise on Colwill.

The west London club have so far offered £70 million for Mauricio Pochettino’s top target.

So for now, talks have reached an impasse and Chelsea are considering whether to continue their pursuit of the Ecuadorian.
